Saletheo Perez

Founder and Executive Director
Saletheo Perez is the visionary founder and Executive Director of the Book and Street Smart Organization. With extensive experience in sales and marketing, Mr. Perez brings a unique perspective as a formerly incarcerated individual, having served 20 years of a 40-year sentence. As one of The Obama Change Collective Cohorts’ Rising Leaders, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to social change. Mr. Perez previously served as the Executive Director of Ex-Cons for Community and Social Change (ECCSC) Mississippi and has successfully owned and managed several restaurants.

 

Staci Grace

Staci Grace is the Co-Founder and Director of Operations/EA for B.A.S.S. Organization. With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Staci has made a profound impact on her community through her innovative approaches and compassionate service. She also serves as a catalyst in entrepreneurship in the community and for her three children as they manage several successful businesses individually and as a family. Her roles in the community have involved orchestrating educational programs, facilitating workshops, and developing sustainable community projects.

Staci’s dedication has resulted in significant improvements in the quality of life for countless individuals, creating a ripple effect of positive change. Through her tireless efforts, she has not only transformed communities but also inspired others to take action and contribute to the common good.

 

Robert Terrell

Chief Operating Officer
Robert Terrell serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the B.B. King Museum in Indianola, Mississippi. With a wealth of expertise in non-profit operations, he has worked with esteemed organizations such as Mississippi Action for Community Education and The Mississippi Blues Trail. As the President of the Board of Directors, Mr. Terrell oversees community outreach and education, fundraising, corporate governance, and grant and gift issuance.

 

Everett R. Chinn

Public Relations Specialist and Vice-President
Everett R. Chinn is a Public Relations Specialist for the Greenville Public School District in Greenville, Mississippi. With experience as a former restaurant owner and manager, Mr. Chinn brings strong leadership and communication skills to the team. As the Vice-President of the Board of Directors, he focuses on community outreach and education, fundraising, corporate governance, and grant and gift issuance.

 

Andrea Harvey-Jones

Entrepreneur and Treasurer
Andrea Harvey-Jones is the owner of New Beginnings Home Care LLC in Greenville, Mississippi. She has dedicated countless hours to supporting various non-profit organizations and initiatives. As the Treasurer of the Board of Directors, Mrs. Harvey-Jones is responsible for managing community outreach and education, fundraising, corporate governance, and grant and gift issuance.

Jada Gear

Graduate Student, Counselor, and Secretary
Jada Gear is a graduate student at Delta State University, where she is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She is also the owner of Delta Sno and Treats, based in Greenville, Mississippi. Currently, Ms. Gear serves as a counselor at Youth Villages, a prominent non-profit organization. As Secretary of the Board of Directors, she handles community outreach and education, fundraising, corporate governance, and grant and gift issuance.

 

Erik Calvin

Loan Specialist and U.S. Army Veteran
Erik Calvin is a dedicated loan specialist and a proud U.S. Army veteran with valuable experience in the medical field. His commitment to service and expertise in financial matters make him a vital member of the organization. As a board member, Mr. Calvin contributes to community outreach, education, fundraising, and corporate governance.
